Hey Everyone, I hope you are enjoying your summer!

KBK is on the way!

Vacation is around the corner!

A couple dates to keep in mind for the fall:

October 15-17: Youth Retreat at KBK

November 12-14: Rumor has it something big is coming back around!

December 25: Christmas! Wow time flies doesn't it!

Sorry, for the past 3 or 4 years we have dodged the rain but at last it doesn't look like it will turn into much of a day at any time today.

Thanks for the great year for youth, and hopefully we will be able to have a picnic some other time.

Comedy and Dessert Night!

This Saturday and Sunday we are having Comedy nights from 7-9 pm as a fundraiser for our Ministry Trip to Calgary in July. ...also because comedy nights are fun.

Cost is $10 and includes Cheesecake, Coffee and Punch and lots of laughter!

Hang Out and Gorgons!

Hey everyone, I know it's hard to believe but this is the last 'normal' youth weekend of the year!

Next week is the Comedy Night June 5-6 on both Saturday and Sunday nights. (Get your tickets, they are $10 and include coffee, punch and dessert)

Then we will wind up on June 11th with our Youth and Family picnic at Candycane Park.

But don't forget about this weekend! On Friday night, the Sr high's are going to Mayer's house (8210 Sherwood Drive) to just hang out and chill. Bring $2 to help with food costs.

On Saturday, we are having a Grande Finale Games night with Insidee/Outsidee and of course Gorgons! Bring a few bucks for snacks at Cafe Disco too!

Laser Quest

This week we are going to Laser Quest!

Both Jr and Sr groups are together and we will be meeting and getting picked up at Laser Quest which is at 10 Hesse Bay (just north of the Northgate Mall).

Time: 7-10pm

Cost: $10

30 Hour Famine

This weekend we are doing the 30 Hour Famine!

We meet at the church at 7:00 pm on Friday but you need to stop eating after lunch on Friday.

We will be having an overnighter at the church and doing things all day Saturday including a food drive to help people right here in Regina too!

We will be winding up with the best soup and grilled cheese sandwiches you have ever had on Saturday for supper.

What to bring:
Your 30 Hour Famine Forms and money
Sleeping bag and pillow

We will not be eating at all but we will have fruit juice.
If there are any health reasons that prevent you from being able to participate please let Byron know and we will make a way to work things out so you can still be involved!

If you need forms call the church office at 775-0181.

Remember, every dollar you raise is enough to feed a family for a day! I guarantee your family can't do that.

What is your goal?
$90 feeds a family for 3 months.
$180 feeds a family for 6 months.
$360 feeds a family for a Year!

Westhill Serves

Hey everyone, this week we have two events both on Friday night involved with our Westhill Serves Weekend!

Starting at 6:00 our Sr. High are going to the YWCA at 1940 McIntyre Street to works with children!
It starts out with making pizzas with the kids and then you will be playing games or doing crafts and colouring and stuff with them. It ends at 9:00.

Also on Friday from 7-10pm we are having a community Gym night for students Grade 6-8 at Ruth M. Buck School.
High schoolers are welcome to come and help out as well cuz we need lots of enthusiastic leaders!

Bring a couple bucks for snacks as well.

Come on out and lend a hand!

Blast From The Past and Bigger or Better Scavenger Hunts!

We are having a Blast From The Past Video Scavenger Hunt on Friday for the Sr High on Friday Night!

So get out your best retro outfit (raid your parents closet, they probably have some old clothes that are money!)

Bring a couple bucks for snacks from Cafe Disco too.

On Saturday we are having a Bigger or Better Scavenger Hunt for Jr High!

We will start with a Paperclip and going around the community to trade for bigger or better things. What will you find?

Missions Encounter Youth Service

This Friday we are taking part in the Missions Encounter service and then heading downstairs for Pizza and some games and hang out time.

Ignite is leading the singing too!

Terry Smith will also be there and he has done ministry ranging from inner-city youth work, church planting, outreach programs for Muslims in the french countries and education and leadership development. I'm sure he will have lots of great stories!

It is all happening this Friday April 16, from 7-10pm at Westhill.

Gym Night @ Ruth M. Buck

Hey Everyone, we are meeting at Ruth M. Buck School for a Gym Night on Friday!

This is the second Gym night we are doing at Buck. Once again we will be getting into teams, playing a variety of games (including Byron's favorite, double line dodgeball) and having a great time together!

Sr High CRASH Night, Jr High Life Size Fooseball!

On Friday Night the Sr High students are going over to Parker's for a C.R.A.S.H. (come relax at someone's house) Night.

It's at 6723 Maple Ridge Drive and that's from 7-10 pm.

On Saturday Night the Jr High students are going to be at the church and we will be playing a game of Life Sized Foosball! Yes, you have all played foosball on the tables so we can warm up with that for a bit before we all get together and play it life sized!

It's from 7-10 pm. Bring a couple bucks for snacks as well and we will wrap up the night with Gorgons!

Sno Trip to Mission Ridge!

Hey everyone, we are heading on our annual pilgrimage to Mission Ridge this coming Saturday!

We will need some parents to drive.

We are meeting at the church at 8:00 and getting to Mission Ridge around 9:15.

We will be leaving Mission Ridge at 4:15 and arriving back at church at 5:30 in the afternoon.

Ski Rental Package and lift ticket: $27.60

Snowboard Rental Package and lift ticket: $38.20

Lift ticket only: $15.75

Helmet Rental (recommended) $4.20

Lunch Special (2 pieces of Pizza & fountain drink) $5.25

KBK Winter Kamps and Family Day Snow Forts!

Hey Everyone, there are KBK Winter Kamps both this weekend and next.

This Weekend is Teen Kamp for ages 13-18, cost is $55.
Next Week is Jr Kamp for ages 8-13, cost is $55.

Next weekend on Monday February 15th (Family Day) we will be having a huge snow fort building contest behind the church parking lot at 1:00pm!

We have a huge pile of snow from cleaning out our parking lot so the snow forts will be epic!

Sledding at Mount Pleasant!!

After 2 attempts last year with lousy weather it looks like we have an awesome weekend for

SLEDDING AT MOUNT PLEASANT!!

Sr High is Friday Night 7-10 pm

Jr High is Saturday Night 7-10 pm

WE NEED PARENTS TO DRIVE!!

Byron is still in the hospital with appendicitis but our great Youth Leaders will be taking care of things!

Meet at Westhill at 7:00, we will leave Westhill at about 7:15 and be getting to Mount Pleasant around 7:30. We will stay there sledding until about 9:30 when we will return to the church before 10:00.

If you live on the opposite side of the city you are welcome to join us at directly at Mount Pleasant from 7:30 to 9:30.

Bring:

Warm Sledding Clothes

Whatever you can find to sled on!

ie. Sled, Crazy Carpet, Toboggan, GT Sno-Racer or whatever New Fangled or Old Fashioned thing that will work
