Friday night the Sr High's are coming to Byron and Lori's (8050 Woods Bay) for a very exclusive Christmas Gala!

The Dress Code is Formal, it starts at 7 and will go later than normal.

Saturday night the Jr Highs are having a Great Ginger Bread Mansion Competition!!

Bring candy for decorating your mansion. The other supplies will be provided.

Jr 2010 Olympic Extravaganza and Sr CRASH at Lynnes's

Hey this week we are having two all-new things!

The Sr. High's are going to CRASH (come relax at someone's house) at Lynnes's 954 Rowell Crescent on Friday night from 7-10.

For Jr. High we are having the 2010 Westhill Olympic Extravaganza!!

Lots of fun and games and bring a hat because you need it for a sticky game, you'll find out when you get there.

Also bring a couple dollars for snacks at our canteen Cafe Disco.

Worship Night Friday and Christmas Decorating Saturday

Hey Everyone, on Friday Night we are having a worship night for everyone!

Saturday morning we are decorating the church for Christmas! Everyone is welcome, we will start at 10:00 and it will go to sometime in the mid-afternoon.

Sr High Guys: Hang out at Marshall's hockey game. 8:00-10:30 at the Mahon Arena (130 Brotherton Avenue)

Everyone: Getting ready to decorate the church next Saturday we are going to make the Log House paper. Meet at the church at 1:00 pm to help out!

Jr High: We are getting together to play Ping-Pong Baseball and we will also have a game of Gorgons!

Starfield Concert Sunday Night!!

Yes, on Sunday there is a Starfield Concert!

It starts at 7:00pm at Western Christian College

Meet at Western Christian College. The Concert will go until roughly 10:00pm but possibly later.

Tickets are $20 at the door, it going to be great!

Youth and Seniors Potluck and Games Night!

We are having our annual Potluck and Games Night with the Seniors!

Remember it starts at 6:00 which is an hour earlier than usual and it runs until 9:00pm.

If your last name starts from A-L, bring a Salad, if your last name starts from M -Z bring a dessert!

Also bring your favorite board game!

Project Serve

This weekend we are doing service projects both here in the church and in the community!

Friday Night 7-10, the Sr High students are going to be painting in the youth lounge. We are going to be touching up all the dings and scratches that are in the walls.

Bring clothes that can get paint on them!

Saturday Night 7-10, the Jr Students are going to be going around the community on a rake and run! We go around the community and rake up leaves and bag them for people who have lots of leaves in their yard.

Dress warm and bring a rake.

Youth and Family Picnic!

Hey everyone, we are finishing off our year by going to Candycane park for a BBQ! Pop, hot dogs and burgers will be provided, just bring $2 and a lawn chair. 

It's on Friday Night from 5-8 pm (but don't worry if you are coming late, we'll probably eat at about 6) and we will be meeting at Candycane Park by the big playground and parking lot.

Comedy Night This Saturday and Sunday!

Westhill Park Church's annual Comedy & Dessert night is being put on by the youth on June 6 & 7. It will be an evening of hilarious short skits and comedy by all of the youth going on the trip to SERVE 2009 in Swift Current, SK.

Tickets are $10 and all money will go directly towards the youth to help with the cost of the trip. That includes yummy cheesecake and coffee/tea/juice too!

~

Bring your friends - people of all ages will have a blast.

~

There will be childcare for the younger kids but the older ones would probably rather be a part of the night.

Bananarama Scavenger Hunt!!

Ok, this is almost our last event of the year so don't miss it! Next week is the comedy night and then we have our Youth and Family BBQ at Candycane Park to wrap things up on June 12. So come on out this weekend!

The Bananarama Scavenger Hunt is where we divide into teams each with a banana and then have a list of things around the city to go measure in lengths of a banana. Last time we measured the length of the Albert Street Bridge in bananas so who knows what will be in store this time!

Sr High is on Friday Night and Jr High is on Saturday Night.

We need drivers so ask your parents if they will be able to drive.

Laser Quest Lock-In!!

We are going to Laser Quest for an All-Night Lock-in!!

Yes, the time is correct, we will be there from 11:30PM to 5:30AM

Cost is $30

Meet and get picked up at Laser Quest (just across the street from Northgate Mall)

Snacks are included, but there are also some arcade games and stuff there so you can bring some money to play them too if you want.

Hey, It's May Long Weekend!

We are not having youth events this weekend, take some time and relax, hang out with your family and friends and enjoy the last long weekend before school is out!

alright, we're going to go out on a limb and announce that it is officially spring! In order to let winter know that his time is up, we will be enjoying the warm-ish weather by having an outdoor event! Come out for some intense-mission-impossible games of capture the flag followed by...gorgons??? can't wait to see you all there! don't forget to bring some money for the canteen!

Westhill Scavenger Hunt 2.0!!

Ok, we almost got around to this last week but this Saturday May 2 we are going for round 2!

so...

You think you know Westhill!?!  Well good luck because we are going to be doing a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood.

Come dressed to be outside and we will be getting into groups and competing to see who can come up with the most correct answers in our Westhill Scavenger Hunt.  Who knows we may even move in to Fairways West.  

I know you are intrigued, don't fight it.  Both Jr and Sr High meet at Westhill Park Baptist Church Saturday from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. 

Bring a couple bucks for snacks after we come back to the church.

We Raised over $4000 for World Vision at 30 Hour Famine!

We also went on a food drive and got a lot of food for the Regina Food Bank!

Congratulations and thanks to everyone who was involved.

There is no youth this week but we do have a Good Friday service at the church at 10:30 on Friday morning. Hope you can make it.

Also remember that there is only one service at church on Sunday and it is at 11:00.

30 Hour Famine!

This weekend we are doing the 30 Hour Famine!

Stop eating after lunch on Friday and we are meeting at 7:00 pm at the cuhrch Friday night and it goes straight through until 6:00 pm Saturday when we finish up with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and Chicken Noodle Soup!.

The Great Chili Cookoff!

This weekend we are once again having our chili cookoff!

Bring $3 and meet at the church @ 7 pm (Sr. on Friday, Jr. on Saturday)  

We are going to be breaking into groups and then going out to buy our ingredients and coming back to the church for the cookoff!

We will need parents to help drive for the first part of the night so ask your parents if they could help out.

Sno-Trip to Mission Ridge!

Once Again, we are taking our annual pilgrimage to the Mighty Mission Ridge!

We are meeting at the Church at 8:00 on Saturday Morning and will be arriving back at the church at 5:30.

The prices are as follows:

Ski Rental and Lift Ticket $27.60

Snowboard Rental and Lift Ticket $38.20

Lift Ticket Only $15.75

Helmet Rental (recommended) $4.20

We will need drivers, so ask if your parents can drive!!

Meet at the church at 7:00pm or if you want to go straight to Mount Pleasant, we will be arriving at around 7:30.

We will wrap up at Mount Pleasant at 9:30 and be back at the church by 10:00 pm.

Bring your warm clothes and a sled or piece of cardboard or old hood from a car (*ask you parents before removing the hood of your car) or something to travel down the hill.

We will be having fun and hot chocolate so don't say I didn't warn you!

Sledding POSTPONED, we are having a Games N' More night!!

Well, the plan was to go sledding, but alas it looks like the windchill could be -40. ...so, we will be chillin' (pun intended) at the church playing games and stuff.

Bring your favorite board game (Settlers of Catan will be there and I think we have twister too) and bring your guitar if you want and we may have a jam session too!

Missions Encounter Youth Night!

This weekend is Missions Encounter and we're having a youth event on Friday night. This is for both Junior and Senior highs!

We are going to be a part of the Missions Encounter event and having Games and Pizza after! Just like last year when we did it at First Baptist Church.

Meet at Argyle Road Baptist Church (we're doing this event with Argyle and First Baptist.

Bring $2 for the Pizza.

Steve Larsen "Linear" CD Release Party

This week we are going to a CD release party for Steve Larsen's new album Linear!

This is for both Jr and Sr High Groups.

Steve is originally from Regina.  Many of you may know him because he spoke out at KBK in 2007 and he has given guitar lessons to a lot of people from around here!
